So good to see an informative video that goes straight to the point instead of babbling for 10 minutes.

so in short, flaps were made to help the plane has more lift at low speed, which is used at both take off and landing, thank you for the information

Incredibly helpful.this helped me understand flaps and pass my exams

IN addition, flaps also greatly increase drag as the aircraft speeds up, allowing the aircraft to come in at a steeper angle without increasing speed.

Amazing video, but that background music is VERY distracting. Removing it would significantly increase the quality of this video.

Flaps down is up and flaps up is down. Makes perfect sense

Camber increases,
Chord line shift sup icreasing AOA- more Lift with same smeed
Lower stall speed
lower pitch with icreaing visibility
Lower take off and landing speed

Increased Drag

Try turning down your background music a little bit. Youre helping me a lot with your lessons. Keep it up!

Background music was so problematic... otherwise it was great as well...👍👍

I hadn't realized that the airplane will stall at a lower nose attitude with flaps down compared to flaps up. I'll have to experimentally verify it at some point (with plenty of altitude to recover, of course.) At least, for any wing where the CL peaks further to the left on the CL versus AoA graph, this would be the case, as the wing is at a lower AoA further to the left. Perhaps it's not the case with some flap designs. And this is assuming that the graph shows the regular AoA, and not the effective AoA.
