There is such a good anecdote out there about Adam which I’m sure people can find the video for. Adam had a college professor who took him for a beer one afternoon to tell him ‘I don’t think you’re going to make it as a performer.’ Many years later Adam bumped into the professor while surrounded by an entourage of industry people. Adam introduced him to them by saying ‘this was the only professor to ever buy me a beer.’

What has struck me about Adam Sandler is his utter devotion to his family & friends. He spoke at an event honoring him about the impact of having his family dote on him & encourage him as a child. It’s made him who he is. Funnily enough, for me, he is at his absolute best in his serious roles, much like Robin Williams.
