The only problem I have with this conversation is the constant suggestion that Pete is soooo undeserving of Ariana. Like only if he admits he is unattractive or that he has low self esteem or some defect or something, does it make sense that she would want to marry him. When actually, they are just two people who fell in love.

The line of questioning also reinforces the idea that if a man or woman is attractive they are automatically an amazing faultless person who you should be grateful to be marrying. And yet, we all know that is far from the truth 😏 Lastly, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And clearly, they are both beholden to each other, so that's all that matters. We don't need to "make sense of it". Just let people by happy and don't allow social media/media to tear apart a relationship by encouraging this type of needless questioning and putting so much pressure on it.
