Never sign your life away to the people you work for, if it wasnt for these doctors being smart enough to know what to say to guide their choices. She would have died and so would their baby.

Some people do not deserve to be parents. People willing to throw someone else’s life away for their own sake are high on that list.

the mothers life legally and morally takes priority over the babys!

They were acting like they care more about the baby than the woman

They danced around the one major fact that would make the decision very easy. If the mother dies before the fetus is viable, it dies too. Authorizing a medical procedure to hopefully save her life gives the fetus a chance. Denying it pretty much kills the fetus.

If her brain herniated, that would put the baby at risk. Despite the risk the baby wouldn't survive, they should have realized that there was a chance that Gina would die and could no longer incubate their baby. Now it's extremely wrong that's all she is to them, but as that's what it is, that's exactly what they need to tell the parents. The risk the child will die without the carrier receiving care is greater than risking the child's life during surgery.

This right here is why I'd NEVER be a surrogate mother for anyone. I don't trust people. People are heartless.

Seriously...how did these characters think things would go if they refused the surgery?
