Random info: here In italy surrogacy it's not aloud here. Abortion is practically impossible, euthanasia doesn't exist and death penalty has been abolished. (At least they can't say we are not pro life)

I think its smart for her to share this. Many women end up in situations they don't want to be in because of these things being overlooked.

A couple of people already mentioned this, but it’s worth mentioning again. Her entire point is that if you want to be a surrogate, you need to find a family who has your values so you can create a contract that you are both completely comfortable with. You may disagree with these values, but you’re not understanding what she’s saying here.

I thought about being a surrogate just for the money- to think about having all my debt paid off from carrying someone else’s child sounded great BUT the more I thought about it with the ethics side of things and all the weird stuff that happens behind the scenes and having a connection to a child that is not mine I definitely do NOT want to ever be a surrogate. You cannot serve two masters money and God… I chose to serve just God

I completely agree with her as a former surrogate. My contract said I would never abort under any circumstances.

I know a lady who was a train wreck.
Sex drugs and rock n roll. She got pregnant on a one nite stand. She gave the baby up for adoption no questions asked no conditions.
My respect for her knows no bounds

I think she gave good advice to ppl who are thinking about doing this. Set boundaries. If you arent comfortable aborting a potentially special needs child, set those boundaries up front. Thats great advice.

She is saying if you AREN’T ok with termination, then you DON’T match with people who are. You aren’t forced to do things you didn’t agree to up front.

My mom refused to take that Down’s syndrome test when she was pregnant telling them she would love her baby no matter how he turned out.

She said like-minded and used abortion as an example, like only carry for those who have the same views as you. Makes sense. That's an important thing to be on the same page about beforehand.

You're close but fudging it up a bit. When she says like-minded, you can say absolutely no abortion for any reason in the contract. You come to this agreement before ever carrying the baby. You go over every what if you can think of and than sign the contract.

As someone who endometriosis didn’t allow to have children, I appreciate surrogates. I didn’t use one, I raised 3 stepkids instead. But I do appreciate them for what they are willing to do for others. You have no clue how painful wanting children yet not being able to have any truly is. All the commercials, all the family holidays, seeing families everywhere you turn. It can’t be escaped. She is truly a giving person & most people are way too shellfish to even think of someone in my situation. God bless her. That’s a true definition of selflessness. She’s blessing families.

I know a younger woman who was a surrogate several times, 20 years ago. Being adopted; I feel this is Truly the biggest act of kindness a woman can do for another. One of her births was twins. She did this out of the goodness of her heart.
You're talking about the miniscule times something can go wrong. She, like many hundreds of women, Never have those problems come up. God Bless those who support Adoption!❤❤❤❤

Both my children were delivered via surrogate. Due to my wife’s hostile womb I thank God everyday for those women. Both of who have children of their own. What’s so wrong with that Matt ?
