When he says "I'm really me, Ma, " he seems so much more than Superman. He seems human.

Snyder Cut showed a more wholesome scene. Better lines, a butterfly flying around Clark, colour grading. To put it simply, this scene didn't need to be reshot. It was already good.

Say what you will about this movie, and believe me I have too, but that reunion scene between son and mother really gets you. Get you right in the feels.

That's so damn Superman comics. They really nailed it with Cavill as this character.

I think this scene encapsulates Batman's observation about Supes: "It is a remarkable dichotomy. In many ways, Clark is the most human of us all. Then… he shoots fire from the skies and it its difficult not to think of him as a god. And how fortunate we all are that it does not occur to him."

Always loved the relationship between Martha Kent and Clark Kent they both have a special connection which is very visible in the films

I really appreciated that they took the time to reunite Clark with his mother. They're relationship has been underutilized up to now, and hopefully we'll see it in a better capacity in the future.

Yep this was exactly what Clark needed to clear his head and what a warm reunion this was.

This is what I like about the DCEU. It gives the characters a human side that's so often overlooked. It's so heartwarming to see how much Clark loves his mother and Lois. :)

This scene here, clark and his mother reunited hit me really hard when i saw it at the cinema . Haven’t seem my mother in almost 10 yrs so every time i see this scene i get emotional.

This had to be THE heart of the movie, the moment between action where you feel the impact of Superman's return, of him being human and accepting completely his role as Earth's protector. And they even gave us a hint of it in the trailer, with Zimmer's music and Henry's real face. Instead we get "itchy" dialogue and that corny "yes ma'am" line. Part with Martha was a truly emotional moment, no unnecessary dialogue, just pure emotion.

Henry is a really good Superman. He can play both the morose and optimistic sides of Superman really well. There just needs to be a balance between the two and I hope we get that in the Snyder Cut.
