Sony Xperia 5 II introduction

The Sony Xperia 1 Mark 2 is yet to be released after it was announced.
And I am highly intrested in the device, however I felt like designing a different Sony with some nice design details and also linking back to the Sony Xperia XZ premium a bit.

And of course adding the partnership Sony has with Zeiss now as well!
A nice front facing speaker set and of course a headphone jack like every phone should have!

It was all going good until I saw this awful hole in the screen. I hope Xperia will never reject its top bezel, I really do.

whats the point of curving the glass in the corner like a note phone why not just make it flat like all past xperia phones or use the metal design of the xz1 and wrap it all around with a small opening for wireless charging possibly through the sony logo

Hello, the reason we have cornered camera design is for the battery to have more space and for it to be more taller. Sony realised that when marked the xperia 5, iam sure they will keep the design to mk 2 also

why the curves of the glass why imitate the galaxy note why not just use the same seamless design as the xz1

The only things I miss from Sony is their widgets, themes and camera shutter button.

While you know I appreciate your work on the technical level...Thank God you don't design phones for Sony!
They've wisely NOT molested their phones with awful holes in the screen (even less in the centre) and they're not likely to start doing it now 😝

Now, question (since it's hard to tell on a video): did you render it with the rumoured 5.6"-5.8" screen?

I don't understand why ppl complaint about the hole punch ... That's how it is anyways it's just masks with a bezel.... With the phone at the angel you see the grey hope punch 8n the bezel anyway... Along side any other sensors in Either way looks weird but necessary to get features .... That screen display is really nice especially on a compact phone (well, what's considered compact. Sounds it'll just be slimmer ?)
