I'm also glad that he introduced us to so many more people like Charles Berthoud. I never would have found him if not for Davie

He's great. I dont know why he hasn't been posting recently but I miss him. I don't know how his amazing playing was ever in question.

I also did not realise he had a signature bass. 😮

I was admittedly disappointed that he turned into a meme channel but he can play really well and he definitely brought bass to new heights on YouTube

He's a good bassist, but he's more of a youtuber that plays bass now, instead of a bassist that's a youtuber

I actually ended up becoming the bassist at my school’s band back in 2017, he got me into music, through his bass playing videos, and every time I watched them I will always have this though of “i wish one day i will be able to play like him” he’s an important character in my life, I discovered that playing bass is not only a way to relief stress but to express yourself and let the music flow through you, thank you davie for making me realise music is the right thing for me

Davie's an amazing player. But it's all about Charles Berthoud these days. He is just off the scale incredible. We can thank Davie for raising his profile

As an Italian guitarist, he's my favourite Italian bassist

He’s good if you’re in to slapping. I find all slap sounds the same after a while

I think he can absolutely shred bass, but I really wish he would just get in a band already so we can have some more crazy bass playing again in the large scale music scene

Even though lots of people are disappointed in him basically becoming a meme channel, because of that, his content appeals to and is recommended to a much broader audience. When I found him I had no interest in bass, and I actually didn’t get the appeal at all. But because of his channel I grew a love for it and I bought one of my own. Almost 2 years later and I now play for kids in children's ministry every Sunday. Good stuff 👍

Danny, the YouTube algorithm gave me your videos ever since it decided I loved bass&behs (it was right). Only Telula and the Italian guy show up. The mean guy has shown up, but doesn't get much interaction from me. I think you have a much more appealing persona! Keep up the good work, stay funky.

As the son of a bassist I have massive respect for Davie. Great slapper who's made the low end cool again. He's certainly inspired more people to learn BEHS. I just love it! All important instrument.

Say what you will about "Reddit humor is irrelevant"—I miss his almost weekly sardonic monotone satires. And the battle with TwoSet Violin.

He is an absolute legend and his ability to bass is no joke. His video SLAPP is an incredible song and shows his composition abilities and playing abilities. My guess is he's gone quiet as he just got married not too long ago and is crazy high in sub count - so he's probably spending some of that money and setting up his home for the future. Go Davie!

Both of you guys are kickass musicians and as such both have reason to be proud of yourselves

I don’t think there’s any doubt he’s an extremely competent bassist

David is an amazing bassist who wowed me and turned me on to bass. But after a few years of(intense) practice, I was able to play a lot of his stuff. He’s a great writer but now he’s more of a YouTuber that just plays bass. Personally I prefer Charles Berthoud, amazing writer, so versatile and for as good as davie is, Charles is on another level. Legitimately the greatest bassist of the new generation.

His video with the Japanese players, is what got me to pickup my bass again after 25 years. I now play about 3 hrs a day and I'm loving life.

Dude is solid. I just would like to see him more on stages doing more serious content, he’s so good!
