How to backside flip ( back side 180 kickflip)

I have watched so many bs flip tutorials and you're the only one to have talked about my problem which is trying to flick as I'm spinning. Definitely gonna try that flick straight tip next skate. Cheers!

Two things I found out helped a lot with this trick:

It is easier to fully spin the board 180 if you focus on nosediving the board as you flip. So as you flick, try to flick more into the nose (contrary to rocketing your board) and that "push" inside the board will spin it more and also level the board in the air as opposed to it being rocketed and not fully spinning 180. This also makes the trick look a lot nicer.

The other thing is partly connected to what you already mentioned when mentioning pivots: try to learn bs 180 ollies with a revert (not a pivot). If you can master those, then the bs flips are essentially the same just with adding the flip into it. That makes the trick a lot easier and also (in my opinion) makes it look more steezy.

Not dipping the shoulders after the rotation is a great tip. I always bust my ass by having the board shoot out and I never considered focusing on keeping my back straight.
I obviously try to adjust my weight, but I think explicitly focusing on keeping myself upright will solve my bs flip issues.

Your trick tips are the best i came around so far. It still takes a lot of practise and that is what most people forget about. Like if you can kickflip really good, you know how the trick works but you still can't just switch flip like that.
