Karcher K5 Premium full control - The best pressure washer around?

My k5 dyed in 3 months after 10 car washes. And the waranty service in my country sucks . Was repaired but when they put in the box wrong and sended to me came with another problem... I selled it at half price and now I will buy a bosch one....

they started to manufacturing them in turkey and now they are full of plastic. i had one k5 and i had a lot of problems because the plastic components crack down very easy. now i use a lavor vertigo 28 plus and is excelent. all the important components are made of bras.

I just threw my Karcher in the trash! So many problems:

A: The small "Smart Control" remote on the handle that allows you to control the power runs on batteries! Of course, when you need the Karcher, the batteries are dead and the machine only gives you a quarter of its power.

B: After changing the batteries, the remote doesn't recognize the Karcher (a synchronization problem perhaps?) Result: you only get a quarter of the power.

C: The on-off rotary button works randomly, as if there is a bad connection. You have to shake or tap the Karcher on the ground to unblock the connection.

D: By hitting the Karcher on the ground repeatedly, I ended up breaking a wheel (I have to admit I was a little frustrated!)

E: When changing tools (foam cannon or lance...), there is a small yellow piece (spacer) that holds a seal. It's located on the tool itself and seals the connection between the tool and the lance. Well, this piece constantly falls out and worst of all, it gets stuck at the bottom of the lance, making it nearly impossible to remove. I bought a new "seals/spacer" kit for 20€ (still!!), but the problem persists.

This machine drove me crazy, even though I'm generally a calm person. Furious, I took the Karcher and smashed it on the ground. Then I picked up the pieces with a dustpan and broom.

I ended up buying a Stihl RE272 instead. Of course, it's not the same budget, but this machine works amazingly well, and I realized that the hydraulic hose is of much better quality. With Karcher, it's a real pain to wind or unwind the hose. With Stihl, it's a real pleasure.

Sometimes, it's better to spend more money than to throw it away.

Why does no one mention the cheap and frustrating Karcher bayonet interlock system for swapping out attachments, just took off main lance yellow insert left on trigger. Removed with long nose pliers, fitted karcher foam gun leaks from interlock and yet another yellow nozzle left in the trigger wish Karcher would sort out bayonet fitting. Have loads of attachments but hate to change them as you don’t know if they are going to disconnect or connect correctly. Complained to Karcher’s who sent a pack of yellow inserts with a range of o-rings with unintelligible diagrammatic instructions.

I got three months out of my k5 premium then as with all my previous Karchers it died but then I got a Kranzle K7 and the difference in high quality a power is far superior I just wish I got a Kranzle washer sooner. If you want the best and can afford it then buy a Kranzle it will last for years ang you will be quids in

I like the look of the disc attachement thing...how well will it work on patches where my van has "marked it's territory"?!

What is the pump made out of? I used to be a Karcher fields service tech and pumps were either aluminium or brass then. From my experience give the aluminium ones a wide berth.
