Something someone only recently pointed out to me (I've watched this series like 3 times and this was still new to me) is that throughout the series killua constantly masks his movements and footsteps, in this scene in particular you'll see gin kick up dust when he turns to run away but killua doesn't, the ONLY time you hear killua's footsteps in the entire anime is when he is using godspeed to try and save gon from pitou's corpse attack in the chimera ant arc, it's actually insane attention to detail

i really like how it showed killua a 2nd attempt to escape. it really shows the instinctual gap between him and gon, how killua will do what it takes and act off instinct, while gon will make his move after he’s calculated it more

As a man who hasn’t watched The old version or read The manga, this is The best scene in all Anime that I’ve watched by far. The tension I felt is unlike any other, it’s hard for me to feel excited or tense in shounen Anime because The main protagonist always survives, bit Hxh isn’t afraid to kill off characters. So I was so tense during this scene

I like how the confrontation between Phinks and Killua is shown here. Usually, I'd expect a lot more of the inner monologues but here it's almost non-verbal. When Killua jumps of every surface in the room and Phinks's eyes can barely follow him, we see this in the movement of his pupils, when Killua struggles to hold on to the ground, we see his veins appearing, a cool visual indicator of his strength, and finally, that whistle from Phinks says a lot. He's caught off guard by the sudden show of strength by this kid, and he's not only a grown man but a Nen user stronger than most, Enchancer on top of all that. Yet the kid breaks free and Phinks almost involuntarily admires his unimaginable strength.
