Conditional Formatting with Mail Merge in Word

You can use Conditional Formatting with Mail Merge in Word to automatically change the colour of font based on criteria.

Word does not have a Conditional Formatting feature, but you can write an IF function in a Mail Merge field and format the true and false responses.

In the video, Conditional Formatting is applied to turn the font red if the value is greater than 20, and to format in black if it is not.

This technique could be used on any Word field although this video tutorial demonstrates it with Mail Merge.

You just saved a project that i've got months of effort into it. I also was able to nest IF statements because I have more than two values. It's so simple when explained correctly

I love videos that go straight to the point. The info that I needed was "alt + F9", from there all is self explanatory. So, I accompished what I needed in 59 seconds.
Thanks a lot !

Is there any way to do this so that the color changes for different values. Lets say I have numbers 0-50 are to be red, 51-75 Green and 76 to 100 blue. Is there a way to do the code so that it changes the colors based on the value ranges?

Thank you. I tried this and works perfectly. However when I shared the mail merge template and the database with a colleague so he can send the emails, the coloring part disappeared. The same files work with colors on mine but not his? What could be the cause?
