John Wick: Chapter 4 feels like the culmination of a story that began in the first movie, so a follow-up would seemingly have to serve as a reinvention of sorts for the franchise. One theory for the fifth film stemming from Stahelski's own comments, for example, posits that John Wick, the assassin, has truly died, but John, the man, lives on. This would mean a story in which John has left his assassin life behind yet again, potentially opening up the door for John Wick 5 to tell a smaller and more intimate story with a somewhat different tone.

Despite Lionsgate's announcement, there's still some question as to whether John Wick 5 will actually happen. Stahelski recently commented on the possibility, expressing that neither he nor Reeves is entirely opposed to returning for another installment, but they both have to feel like they've found a story worth telling, something that evidently hasn't happened yet. This is also a tall order considering Reeves himself pushed for a definitive John Wick death.

The best way for a 5th John Wick movie to happen is if it's a prequel I'd say, it would be cool to see how John initially got out of the system and met his wife.

In John Wick 5 it will be revealed that John actually survived! Audiences will be expecting him to do some more cool action stuff, but in reality is just there so that he can be humiliated and than replaced by a strong woman probably played by Daisy Ridley. She will be better than him by a longshot on her first day as an assassin even though she has never had a day of combat training in her life.

But thats only if a certain mouse gets his grubby little paws on the franchise.

When you think a main charachter can't die and then come back, look at the Matrix. Look how they did that one. Never say "they can't do something" in movies. A lot of people get angry and say they can't do this or they can't do that. They can do whatever they want in movies. That's why they're movies and not real life.

People act like they haven’t brought back characters from the dead before. Even ones that the audience seen die.

We see him fall over on the steps after the duel and even the others visit his grave but is he really in there or did he just get a little help in faking his death so nobody would think to go after him again? Or he may very well be dead. but the point is the ending is open enough to allow a return if the creators decide to.

It actually been confirmed that they are making a 5 movie maybe next year we’ll get an idea of that plot for me and I’m assuming everyone else is happy how it ended in the JW 4 so let’s hope they do the franchise good with this 5 installment

Just as the other comment here mentioned, you have to pay attention to what is written on the gravestone: "John Wick - loving Husband" in comparison what he John says in the suburb canalization about what he wants on his gravestone: "John, loving husband". Sooo!?- Long story short: John wick, the myth, the legend, the ghost - that John wick is buried. But the real John wick, the man free of his sins, his fate, his burden, is still alive and happy ever after :) - or - does John wick not easily get his peace ---- not - even - in - death . (Mark my words ;)
