It can be a fun sandbox to multiplayer with a crew. And for every epic moment like watching a gunship with its engines doppler pitch as it passes over you while driving up a ridge line and the sun glints off the hull, there is a (nigh hilarious) bug like when my friend tripped walking up the stairs and died on impact while shopping in a dystopian city. But it is those bugs that usually signal the end of a play session for the day.

Ok another 500 million and we will get another trailer in 15 years. Can’t wait! By the time this game is released, we might actually be invaded by aliens. Hopefully they can run it on their computers.

Bought a $10 bundle years ago and recently given it another try. It is a fantastic game WHEN it works as it should, unfortunately it rarely does. Nothing like flying across the system to fight some bad guys (that have janky AI) to collect stolen cargo only to find that the recipient receptical won't accept it so realising right at the very end that you can't complete the mission.

While I didn't expect SC itself to be out by now, I sure as hell expected the first part of the Squadron 42 campaign to be out so we at least had SOMETHING of worth to play.
