Sisu trucks had this first, back in 90's .

Always on last train.SISU invented that, then volvo.Driveshafts are the same as 141, exhaust manifolds are leaking, heads are leaking water, opticruise was disaster.Yeah, V8 have plenty of power.But, if you dont have proper clutch.All the pistons are down.Hail to the inline six.

This has been in Sisus since 80's and in volvos since 90s 😂😂

So to be clear, this is a driven lift axle, not a passive lift axle. I've wondered if such a configuration actually existed.

So it's basically a tag axle, with a rear end? You know a powered axle. Big damn deal! Every tandem I ever drove had a power diverter, so you weren't always powering both drive axles. So they put a tag type lift on it... Whoopee! I'm not buying a 6% fuel savings off a lifted axle alone!

Nice, but Mercedes Benz already has this for Actros 6x4 air suspension. Search for disconnect tandem DLT.

i wonder what would scania trucks look like in North America Standards

Main issue of this setup is decison, lifting axle or differential between axles, in 6x4 setup where i choose 6x4 configuration because of some offroad capabilities and heavy weight, lifting axle steal interaxle diff lock and second drive axle interwheel diff lock. So i felt bit confused, and ordered without this lifting axle feature.
