madma0 is right about the auto 100%
i have an fg turbo manual and the only reason i got it is cause its more fun, but to start with i wanted an auto cause they shift so much quicker than the manual can and thats before u get a tune on the gearbox.
they can also take 20-50kw more on the standard box and have a great stall converter from factory.

I just bought the same car a 2011 FG XR6T ex-police. That thing with the grey cover in the engine bay should be a diode which stops current flowing back to the front battery. More comments in video 3 about the battery.
