How to Solve a 3x3x3 Rubik's Cube: Easiest Tutorial (Yellow Corners)

I feel so dumb. I have done this multiple times until the last corner and then the entire cube messes up! You did wonderful showing how to do it, but I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

If you learn to mirror your algorithms you can save a lot of steps. U, R, U', L', U, R', U' L
Rotates the three corners counterclockwise. If you reverse the algorithm it rotates them clockwise. You have to do the turns in reverse order AND in the opposite direction. So the mirror algorithm is: L' U R U' L U R' U'. This means the corners can be put in the correct position with one algorithm instead of doing the same algorithm twice. (however, if no corners are in the correct position initially you have to do either algorithm and then locate and orient the correct corner first)


The same can be done on the corner twilling algorithm. That means each corner can be correctly spun with only four moves.

I'm a relative beginner so this may be old news but I got a kick out of it when I figured it out.

Thank you for this! This was the algorithm I needed to learn to 🙌🏼 I watched another YT clip but the way they showed it would never work out unless if you had all four corners not having a yellow on top and had to have one of the other colours. Took forever for me to get mine to reflect this way each time.

I have now used your algorithm shown here for the yellow face multiple times and it works every time 😁 now I won’t complain when my kids mess up my Rubik’s Cube 😂

hi when I do the positioning of the yellow corners i also get 2 solved corners adjacent to each other or diagonal from each other. What do i do in those cases?

I don’t often leave comments but thank you for this video, I had cube back in 80s when it 1st came out couldn’t do it.
Got a new one last week after watching Netflix doc, I just could get the YELLOW CORNERS in even with books .
I would do r’ d’ r d
but just couldn’t get when you said don’t forget to to finish the move by doing final d move I knew straight away thank for that simple but very important point .

I’m 50 years old and it’s took a week to learn now it just repeat and remember .
