For some WNBA fans, the Rookie of the Year race between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese may be closer than it appears.
Clark is seen as the odds-on favorite to take home the honor, though Reese is just behind and closing. Andy Bailey of Bleacher Report showed that the race may be closer than the betting odds imply, sharing a poll where he asked fans to pick between the two when considering only their stats.

But Greenberg stressed that Clark, the Indiana Fever guard, remains in the lead for the honor.
"Even with Reese gaining on her, Clark's advantage hasn't really deteriorated: The Iowa native currently has -600 odds to win Rookie of the Year at ESPN BET and, at one point, was showing -3000, an incredible 96.77% implied probability," Greenberg wrote.
