Tips for Phase 2 Pharmacy Residency Match

In 2018, there were roughly 1800 unmatched applicants and around 220 unfilled positions. The match rate was about 65%. In this video, I share 13 of my personal tips to those participating in phase 2 of the pharmacy residency match and/or scramble.

I applied to nine managed care programs and got zero interviews. Later I applied for four unaccredited programs and heard back from two. I found out recently that I got rejected by both of them.

Phase two is approaching. Honestly, I’m not confident at all because the competition is even more intense than phase one.

Can you clarify something about phase 2 applications...our recommendation writers all have to submit a new recommendation for us? Like the one they already submitted cannot be used again?

I’m a p2 soon to be a p3, I recently changed my mind and want to do residency. I wasn’t involved in any clubs and didn’t network properly. Is it too late to think about residency since I’m in a 3 year program? What advice do you have for me, i want to apply for residencies and I’m kinda clueless.
