Bad Boys Porsche 964 Turbo Review

In this video. I get my hands on this brilliant 1991 Porsche 964 Turbo curtesy of Design 911 .

This is super exciting. Not only is it one hell of a widow maker machine, but also famous for being in a Blockbuster Cop film "Bad Boys".

Let's celebrate this awesome machine and enjoy it on some twisty bits of road .

I owned that car with a black interior, it was my second favorite 911 turbo to date. I loved the way it simmered while warming up in the morning, the drive was amazing too.
The 993 Turbo was my favorite which I got after the 964. Then I bought a 996 and while it was decent, it was no longer the Porsche I knew, it was the last Porsche for me.

It's been a while but I'm thinking about a natural 997 s model lately. They seem pretty cool, surely not 993 stature but probably decent enough for thee price.

Noise only if you change the exhaust.
Turbo lag also quite huge. Empty below 3, 500 rpm
But such a lovely car ..

Like that background track! Owning a 993 C2S i can get an idea what a 964 (especially a Turbo) must feel like. This thing of "getting it right" has to be experienced to understand.

Sorry to be an anorak, but this is not a 'Bad Boys' 964. The car in the movie was the 964 Turbo 3.6 (internal designation 965) produced in 1993 and very early 1994. This is the standard 964 Turbo.

I had a 964 Turbo 2 in 'Veilchenblaumetallic' colour back in 1995. I loved it. The 3.6 was a step further....lost all my money. Now i drive trucks- no Porsches anymore....maybe one day....

I drove one of the these once. Incredible car, but you really had to master the turbo lag. But afterwards, just a series of pure unleashed power.

Met the guy that owns the bad boys Porsche today. Got to see it as well!! Sadly I couldn't take a picture of it or the rest of his collection but the seats in that car more or less the whole thing looks brand new off the lot. Amazing car!
