Показать описание
The function of bolted joints is to apply enough compression force to prevent assembly separation and transfer force among assembly components. In this video, we will discuss how an appropriate amount of preload is applied to prevent the yielding of bolts. We will discuss the force balance and how a joint diagram helps us to visualize it. Bolt stiffness and member stiffness also play a crucial role in the force dynamics of bolted joints. We will see how to use a pressure cone to visualize pressure distribution in bolts.
