At the front and center of Elevation is Steven Furtick. Mr. Furtick is a religious teacher who frequently mishandles the Word of God by engaging in narcigesis and eisegesis. In this brief survey, I provide some thoughts on two troubling statements from two of Steven Furtick's messages.

I'm sooo glad I left there about 3years ago. I also volunteered on the production team. It was fun until it wasn't. God started letting me see things. I didn't feel the true Holy Spirit there and started picking up on things he say and the sneaky things he do. I'm thankful I was given the Word growing up, and I praise God for discernment!

Furtick will be in the group that said they did so much for Jesus, only to be told, ” I never knew you” unless he repents. Thanks Polite Leader for your research and laying it out, plain and simple.

God did not break the law, man broke the law, Jesus came and FULFILLED the law on our behalf because man was incapable of keeping the law. Jesus in His Devine Perfection and Intervention , took upon His self our sins and paid the price to redeem us, whom He loves so much.

Although it hurts and angers us to see others twist God’s word and not properly teach it, we need to remind ourselves that these people need to be prayed for nonetheless. We are all human and whether Furtick is doing this accidentally or purposefully, we must pray for him and many others as well.

Christ did not break the Law; to the contrary, He fulfilled the Law by becoming a curse for those who had been under the Law (Galatians 3:13, Deuteronomy 21:23).

Jesus only came to earth because we have broken the Law. If He broke the Law then He couldn't save us because He wouldn't be God.

Steven Furtick is not only a false teacher, he's also a motivational speaker, a performer and entertainer. The way he gets his audience into an emotional frenzy during his sermons is not something that a pastor should be doing. He should be declaring and explaining the Word of God, in its proper context to his listeners and not get them into an emotional high, where their thinking caps are switched off. There's nothing in his sermons that will humble anyone before God, where they come to the realisation that they're a sinner who have sinned against a holy God and deserve eternal punishment as a consequence for their actions and because of that, their need to repent and trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour and His work on the cross to save them. His sermons will make them feel good about themselves, not expose the darkness in their own hearts. "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" - Jeremiah 17:9

Most false teachers like Furtick share this in common: they think too highly of man and too lowly of God. They have an anemic or no grasp of the Doctrine of Sin and Holiness of God. Very sad. 😢

I really like the way this man calmly states facts and doesn't speak about Steven Furtick as if he has a personal vendetta against him. I am still trying to figure out if Steven Furtick is a false teacher or not because I have a lot to learn, but I am praying God reveals the truth to me. Thankful for sensible and knowledgeable videos like these that I can watch though to help inform my understanding.

I don’t know how people can sit up under this man. Furtick is a Rick Warren disciple. “Felt needs”.

Furtick’s Modalism is no surprise, since he regularly communicates and associates with TD Jakes, whom Furtick has called his “true north.”

My former church looks up to this church and plays their music. They even introduced Yoga. I left and couldn’t take their decision-making anymore.

Jesus says in Matthew 5:17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.”

*i wonder if he ever listens or watch the people who calls him out for his fallacy and heresies.* 😐 Hope he repents, but oh well the greed for money is stronger. Pray for his church. 🙏

Unbelievers can, and do, please the world with many "good" works. The Christian is not to be known for propping up the world but for building up the Body in love and for preaching the Gospel.

Furtick always has been a wolf in sheep's clothing. Mr. Furtick, please repent.

Steven Furtick's narcissism shines for all to see. It shows how genuinely unqualified this man is when it comes to sound doctrine. He took such offense at being defined unqualified that he wrote a book defending his unteachable arrogance. But all this proud fellow proved was that he is qualified only for the service of a god --himself, not the Living God. After all, keep in mind that he proclaimed himself to be the Almighty God. That reminds me of Lucifer, who said: “I will ascend above the heights of the clouds (elevation); I will be like the Most High. (I Am God Almighty’ Steven Furtick).” This man is hiding what is inside of him in plain sight. He speaks with a perfect Christian lingo, so hypnotizing that sounds genuine. And dares people with sound Biblical knowledge to leave his church for his aim is the indoctrination of babies in Christ, without being tested.
By the way, just because someone praises Jesus, it does not mean they are serving the real King of Kings. In Spanish, the name is quite popular as a name for boys. So, to me, this deceiver, new-age joker serves a counterfeit Jesus.
