just to clarify, this hendrickson edition (as well as the oxford 2011 and the thomas nelson 1982) is a facsimile of a roman-type edition created in 1833 by oxford. oxford meticulously reset the black-letter 1611 into roman type, including all old spelling and typos, and carefully inserted all the drop-caps and even the catch-word at the bottom of the pages, in order to have a true transcription of the very hard to read 1611. the later anniversary editions by oxford (1911 and 2011) are just reprints of the 1833 original that hendrickson also uses here. but the hendrickson is a beautifully rendered copy of this version.

Great review brother! I have this one in hardback but the "genuine leather" is really nice too. Also I just wanted to point out that that letter is not an f, it's actually what's called a "long s" ( ſ ). It's an old lowercase s used everywhere except as the last letter of a word. Also the reason why there is variations of spellings is apparently because they wanted to keep the text justified.

Glad to see you're home!
I absolutely love this bible! I use it as a reference for my 1537 Matthew's bible, for the 1537 doesn't have verse numbers and I also like to compare the translation differences.
Hendrickson makes a 1526 Tyndale New Testament as well which I need to get myself one day. Very excited for the other reviews! God Bless ya.

I'm glad to find someone else impressed with the Maccabees. This way you do know what happened when the Greeks came in and the Romans. I'm totally in love with the Bible but I seem to get the wording wrong to find the one with all the books. Is it called the extended version, huge Bible I'm really confused about this but I am interested in the 1611 King James.

Greetings elder, is the leather soft? Or stiff? Does it lie flat on Genesis or Revelation? What do you think about this leather? Does thee thinketh it may last long?

Awesome review! Just FYI I have the facsimile of the 1560 Geneva Bible and it was a reference Bible so KJV was not the first reference Bible..lol.😀 I can't wait to see the others when they come in!
