It amuses me that people speak of the Apocrypha as some hidden, forbidden texts when in fact the name Apocrypha itself means "obscure, or spurious." This means that the translators and editors of the KJV knew they were not scripture but rather obscure texts of debatable origin that may be historically edifying and were included as-per tradition but were eventually removed

Pray about it you guys, don't just take ppl's word do your research and ask the Holy Spirit for guidance, it does say in His word that the Holy Spirit will lead us into all truth.

It'd actually important. When you study the history of everything, and how God was to bring redemption to humanity (through Jesus Christ), the apocryphal fills in the gap of 3 to 400 years between malachi to Matrhew. It's kinda weird to leave them out. All world history revolves around the coming of Christ, every bit of it.

I've read the whole Bible many times and also read all the apocrypha. I have a Luther German Bible that is 250 years old and yes it has the apocrypha.

How do I get my hands on an older Bible that has the missing books of the Bible such as the Apocrypha?

It was understood even back in 1600 that the apocrypha was not canonical.

It is not God breathed.

Apocrypha is a term used to describe writings that are not part of the accepted canon of scripture, and may be of questionable authenticity or authorship. The word "apocrypha" comes from the Greek word apokryptein, which means "to hide away".
Here are some characteristics of apocryphal works:

Looks like this YouTuber here is very knowledgeable knows his history.

However for those who dnt know their history, & think that these books were always in the back of the OT labeled Apocrypha your erroneous.

Bc the real question will be why is it that these books weren't taken out until the 19th century between 1820s to 1880s, it took over 1700 yrs to finally remove these books out of the original canon.

Bc when we go back in history & see when the books of Bible weren't canonized into one Bible until the late 4th century, we can read the list of Bibles that were included in the original Canon which included the apocrypha/ deuterocanonical books.

So from the 4th century when the Bible was canonized all the way into the 19th century these were in the books all Christians read.
So Regardless if people still believe they're not inspired, the books weren't taken out of the Canon until the 19th century.
So why not question this fact?

Bc the point is the 66 book Bible that protestants read 2day is not even a 150 yrs old, compared to the other 1000s of Christians that lived before us, all read more than 66 books in their Bibles for over 1, 700 years.

So Or protestants really still going to ignore this fact of history, that these books were in all Christian Bibles for around 1700 hundred centuries, & still have the courage to say these books r not the inspired word of God, because Martin Luther said so in the 16th century.

No1 going to question, & recognize that God let these books be inside thee Canon for the world for over 1, 700 centuries

I mean to sit here and think throughout all the nation's in the world, people with no internet, sat there & read the Bible to always say HEY when they finally get to these other books, those books are not the true inspired word of God, & no one's going to question why are they even in the Holy Bible.

And if those books are not inspired, how r supposed to know what other books are inspired or not, if the true inspired word of God Bible has other book's that r mixed in that are not inspired, how are they supposed to even know what to trust. Especially without internet, the average Joe is not going to know this info, they're going to buy the Bible and assume every single book in here is the word of God, because it's a Bible for crying out loud.

When you start to realize the only reasons why we know anything today is because of the internet, but during A time when people had no internet across the world, how r they to kno this info, no1 is going to know if these books are inspired or not, which logically only tells you the only reason why they're inside the Bible, is bc everybody thought they were the true inspired word of God.

People really need it sit back, and start thinking logically to question why is it only the past 150 years Christians finally figured out the exact number on the books of the Bible...

Or is it that they always known the exact number of books 1700 years ago when it was canonized by the Catholic Church.

Which one sounds more logical, the Christians that read these books in the Bible for 1700 years, r the Christians today that r more biased in the past 150 years are the erroneous ones.

Which one could it be? 🤔

For sure important to read them, they are beneficial not only for example but for tracing true judaisms train of thought before Christs coming, they are however, not scripture. The king james translators labeled them the apochrypha for a reason, and so did many roman catholics before their pope declared it scripture. Jerome included them in the latin vulgate, but prefaced that he did not believe them to be scripture.

God himself validated the 66 books. They correspond to the 66 chapters of Isaiah. Each chapter and be tied to each book sequentially. There are books on that subject.

And the apocrypha is located in the middle of KJV apart and separate from the scriptures since they were not believed or thought to be scriptures by any Christian in any century, and not by the AV translators.

The apocrypha is great reading and has value. It is likely not inspired and paul even refutes some of the second temple Judaism thoughts and ideas in his letters. Nonetheless the apocrypha is wonderful reading and has a lot of value. Any commentary worth its wait in paper will include multiple references to apocryphal writings

There is no issue reading deuteronocanonical/apocryphal writings. The issue is whether we teach from them as if they are theopnuestos. If we do, why stop at the fourteen? Why not include the Didache, Barnabas, Polycarp, Diogentus, et al?
