How to start a Bonsai Tree Collection for beginners | Quince Bonsai Tree | The quince Cutting | Part 5
This is a Japanese flowering quince bonsai, propagated from a cutting and is part of my "Starting a Bonsai Tree Collection' Series and this is Part 5, showing progression of this little tree on its way to become a Quince bonsai tree. I have many of these Japanese quince trees and also a Chinese quince tree. Any one an grow it as quince bonsai care is very easy. Every time I prune these trees, I propagate quince cuttings, they root with very little effort and make lovely little quince bonsai trees, which make lovely I gift Christmas gifts.

I have been fussing over my neighbors quince for years. How easy was it to get the cutting to root? The next time it grows through the fence I may take a snip.

Hi Iqbal, i liked the way you sprinkled fertlizer and buried it. I do it too. For trees in development, i never understood, why many bonsai artists stick the fertilizer cakes on top of the soil, in tea bags or tiny plastic net containers. Organic fertilizers need to be broken down by micro organisms and that is far better achieved below the soil surface.

Great video, do you use chicken pellets on all your trees? And what cat litter do you use? I live in the UK (kent)

Why this S shape? It reminds me of commercial S shape bonsai from shops

How are the quince cuttings planted? Is the cutting planted in an inverted position and at 45 °?

Is cat litter a good substrat for Bonsai?
