Kenworth W900 vs Peterbilt 389 Comparison - American Truck Simulator

Comparison between the Kenworth W900 and the Peterbilt 389, both available on ATS. This video was recorded on the 1.40 version of American Truck Simulator.
To increase the results accuracy, both trucks were using the same engine - Caterpillar C15 which has 625 hp. Also both ATS trucks had the same gearbox.

The Kenworth feels kind of "posh", kind of like a Rolls Royce, while the Peterbuilt feels kind of like a hot rod, especially when it's so low and long. Needless to say, I like them both for different reasons, but my fav is the Kenworth.

For me they are both quite equal. But I do like the setup of the cockpit more from the Peterbilt. I ilke to have base numbers displayed....like 20 30 40 and so on. The KW does this with 5er steps which confuses me somehow. It's just a tiny detail but it's exactly the point which made me drive the Peterbilt. 🤔🤪
Also I don't give a damn about some performance differences. I need to feel compfy in my truck. If that isn't that case I can't drive this thing for long trips.

I love the pete but I gotta go wit the w900 j Bc of the engine sound. Sounds like a a freightliner. Literally no turbo spool up or anything

You will get deaf inside the peterbilt cabin noise at higher gears.

I started with Pete 389 and i wouldnt replace him. Just Peterbilt 389 looks better than W900.

I think, creators like W900 more, cause it's closer to real truck! Poor 389... Why they don't like this truck?

Kenworth W900 cost only (new truck) 16.232$. It is small price (I LOVE KENWORTH W900)
