As a construction worker myself:
Low salary
Low job satisfaction
Overworked
Big Cooperation abuse
Paycheck to paycheck
High debt.
Lack of healthcare

Its the problem we facing.

Start paying decent wages and stop ripping regular folks off!

I'm a building contractor. I just found out my plumbing subcontractor is paying his lead plumber with 18 years of experience $20/hr. That is absolutely unacceptable.

There’s something about working on high end houses while living in a shoebox that just doesn’t feel right

My husband fell 15 feet while on the job. He broke his back and hasn't been able to work since. That was 13 years ago and he got addicted to his pain meds. I went straight to work to keep our family financially stable. He is an amazing stay at home dad and has been sober for 7 years

I’ve been working in construction for the last 8 years. The biggest issues stress, lack of work life balance and non-livable wages. The pressure from higher ups to get the job done with little to no recognition for the hard work that’s put in as well as long grueling hours makes people feel worthless.

The company I worked for previously had a worker take their life, and during a company wide meeting about a year or so later, our president was arrogant enough to say that mental health wasn’t a problem. I lost it. Called him out on the spot while a newly hired superintendent, a man in his late 50s, began to cry because his neighbor just killed himself and he too was in the industry.

Basically it comes down to Capitalism greed. Big wigs want their money - we need to hold corporations accountable and need a president who sides with the common man, someone who wasn’t born into extreme wealth and someone who wants to protect workers rights with a livable wage and benefits. Sorry for the rant - I have been through these thoughts and thankfully I got help and I’m now in a position where I get plenty of vacation and respect. I wish everyone the best of luck.

These men are working themselves to death, in harsh weather . All the companies care about is the profit . These people are tired …

Go to school. Get in debt to get a degree. Can't get a job in the field you studied for. End up doing construction to pay bills. See people on social media living their best life while you're sore, underpaid, and underappreciated.

Have ya tried to not work people to death. It's getting to the point where suicide and holding down a job is the same thing.

No hope for a future, worked to death with no help for retirement, while the people on the top take more vacations and get great retirements.

She was absolutely no help. Instead of saying decrease the workload. She says "call the 1-800 number you talk about it".

They are worked until their bodies break down and give out, they have almost no retirement prospects, they can barely pay their bills, they work in blistering heat and filthy conditions, and they are abused by their managers.

When you dump all that on top of home and private life problems, it becomes a struggle to just get out of bed every day.

You can only find peace in death rather than having to live in this sick and disgusting world.
