Exploring Hadrian’s Wall Path National Trail (part 1 travel & prep day)

The 2nd August 2021 I traveled up to Newcastle with two friends, preparing to take in my very first National Trail…. Hadrian’s Wall Path, 84 miles over 6 days hiking from east to west.

This short video isn’t the actual hike it’s self however it’s our travel day and we had time to explore the museum at Segedunum Roman Fort.

This adventure will be a series of short videos from start to finish, the highs and lows and making memories on the trail.

A good first day there, Rachel. It is quite a journey just to get to the start, for those of us in the south and it's genuinely good to see how you spent your day. A friend of mine walked Hadrian's Wall - possible 15 years ago - and said she didn't enjoy that north-eastern start so much... But it looks like it might've improved in all the time since.

I did this walk in the first lockdown but on a virtual basis, not the same but I did get a nice medal. This is number 83 on my video watchlist, so I am behind on watching but seeing you up to date progress on route and hope your feet are okay and the weather has not been too bad for you. Cheers Alan
