Its finally here! The Blazar Remus Full Frame 33mm T1.8. I shot this video on the LUMIX S5IIX in full frame 3:2 open gate. So this is the max coverage you'll most likely get. To be honest, I don't imagine I will be shooting this lens wide open much, why? Because watching a full frame 1.5x destretched lens at T1.8 is MAX bokeh for my brain hahaha. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE anamorphic bokeh, but this lens can produce more than I need! But i love have the capability to increase that background separating when i need or getting more light on to my sensor when needed. Again you gotta remember, not only is this T1.8 worth of full frame bokeh.. but its also 1.5X destrestched waterfall bokeh on top of that. So you're really creating some extra separation and blur with that!

Thanks for sharing! Love your approach, many greetings here from Denmark. Have ordered their B set and am looking forward to this 33mm. I can see these being used in history documentaries to reenact historical scenes, yes I'm quite fond of annamophic and what they provide. Also have the Sirui 50mm and 75mm just want to compare, but it seems they are different enough anyway that it makes sense to keep them. What a time to be alive! It wasn't long before these possibilities were out of reach for most projects.

I know you love the 50mm as the most versatile, but 35mm has always been my preference. This is slightly wider at 33mm, but the images you captured have given me confidence in the similarity to a 35mm. I’m so excited right now!

This 33mm looks pretty dang tasty for the money, so much more interesting than the Sirui lenses.

I’ve been waiting for this one. For the exact reason you highlighted, vlogging in anamorphic. I’m obsessed with anamorphic and wanted to pick up a 33mm and 65mm for my FX3. The 33mm looks to only be in PL mount right now though.

I would never pan with the 33mm on a narrative piece. too much distortion.
