Bret, no offense, Indian and Chinese are considered as Malaysians too, but you should have know that the majority ethnics in Malaysia are the Muslim Malays, it is how the name Malaysia comes from. And the food and the culture are actually a mixed up of Malay-Chinese-Indian, you are happened to be in Malaysian Indian restaurant, it is okay, kind of like saying you are eating American food at Italian restaurant in New York, you get what I'm saying? It's kind of acceptable but not accurate.

And because you are in KL (Kuala Lumpur), there are a lot of Chinese and Indians in KL compared to other areas that mostly had Muslim Malays population. In your previous video, you just said there are lots of Temple you found, it is actually Mosques if you are in that area called river of life (you said looks like Disneyland). But don't worry, we practice secular democratic government here, the Indian (mostly hindus) are free to practice their religion, hence the Batu Caves Hindu temple you'd visit are there, and there are lots of Christian Churchers, Buddhist Temples and Chinese Taoist temples too.

here are some giude to Malaysia.
Malays - are the main ethnicity with 99.99 % are Muslim
Malaysia - is a country
Malaysian - are people/citizens in it, that can be the Malays, the Chinese, the Indian and others.

Being a Malaysian, regardless of ethnicity, we all ate Malays Nasi Lemak, Chinese Char Koay Teow and Indian Roti Canai. So it is kind of accurate that you had that Roti in the restaurant. Look for more videos of other youtubers trying Malaysian food.

Better do research first ..First of all this region of south east asia was known as the Malay Archipelego..

The malays have thousands of ancient kingdom, untill the last great kingdom known as Malacca Sultanate. Untill the colonial period of Portuguese, Netherlands, Spain, British, this entire Malay region was divided, so from there Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, etc was born and the British started to brought immigrants from outside of this region. yes ethnic chinese and indian are citizens too. But please dont forget The malays and borneon people are the natives of MALAYsia

i guess you didnt plan to come to Malaysia you probably didnt do some research. Chinese and Indian here are local not immigrants. They were born here, living here for hundreds years, mixed culture with malay. In fact a lot of Malay culture had many indian and chinese influence. Food is the best example. They are now Malaysian part of our culture.
