Why I'm Buying GameCube Games In 2022...

The Nintendo GameCube currently sits as one of the most expensive consoles to collect for. Due to my undying hatred for my wallet, I have decided to take the plunge and buy some minty complete-in-box GameCube games.

As somebody who lives on Long Island I can tell you we want top dollar for everything. It’s crazy how expensive some of the games got

What annoys me even more about inflated prices at conventions or anything in-person is that the ebay price usually includes conveniences and guarantees. Like delivery and money-back if there's something wrong. You don't get those things when buying in-person. You had to go there. You had to assume all risk. If anything, in-person prices should be cheaper!

You did the right thing, haggling them down. I bet they were just happy to get the ebay prices. As much as I love the brick and mortar style stores, I had to cut back on visits because they were going over online prices and refusing to budge. Anytime I go these days, it's more for the experience. Almost all of them upcharge 10% or more on their games. :/

I was the Gamecuber (Gamecubist?) when everyone else had a PS2 or Xbox. It was thrilling playing the very first Animal Crossing, especially when there was no meta for it - people were discovering it as they played. A very magical time in gaming history.

Matty you’re officially my favorite gaming YouTuber. You always keep it real and don’t make videos for the sake of just making them. More importantly you’re not just a game hoarder. You actually play and beat your games unlike (most) people on here. I say most because there are a handful like you. Cheers and keep the content pumping 👍

A few weeks ago I decided to start making retro content as I rebuild the collection I had to sell off a few years ago. I thought forever about a name for YT and social media and settled on Retro Rebound. Before changing all my social media names to that, I googled it just to make sure I wasn’t ripping anyone off and ended up finding your channel which I now love. Lol. I settled on a different name obviously and found another cool channel to watch out of it. Keep up the good work!

I am so happy to see that your a huge fan of Night For 100 Frights cause it was my first video game I ever played on the PS2, I hope THQNordic remasters it!

Your Pokemon Colosseum pick up is crazy, I Bought mine from some random 2nd store for $30 bucks. Complete in box, also in pristine condition. This store didn't know the value of what they had; I got super lucky to randomly find this.

Matty, your videos rock! You frequently put out high quality content, and your passion for these games brings me back to my childhood memories

That’s CRAZY! I still have my copy of Pokémon Colosseum as well. I won’t sell it because how much I love it, but crazy to see it selling for so much.

Great video! Gamecube collecting never gets old just expensive over the years! Subbed because I love the Gamecube! I'm still upgrading my cube collection even after 7 years of collecting.

Been picking up a lot of GameCube games this year. Just recently found my missing game boy start up disc so I’m super happy about that seeing the price of those now.

The first Luigi’s Mansion was the literal first game I’ve ever played & finished. It’s actually lowkey scary when played in the dark… kinda like the Mario version of Resident Evil. It’s a shame the horror tone didn’t really translate to the sequels.

Also unlike most games today, it’s a short experience! Seriously you could easily beat lugi’s spoophouse in 1 sitting if you really wanted to… which kinda makes it better as a horror experience? At least to me it does

I remember being scared as a kid by the baddies in Star Fox Adventure. Hope you enjoy your pick-ups, Matty! ❤

I LOVED the GameCube as a child but I didn’t have many games for it. The last two years I have been growing my collection and today I have 50 GameCube games! ❤ Some rare and some common. 😊

You are in for a treat with Falsebound Kingdom. I got it as a kid as a Christmas gift and it blew my mind!! It is unique but very fun. And I'm happy to see another clash of ninja 2 fan out here. CLASSIC

I’ve never seen anyone talk about Falsebound Kingdom! I played that game so much as a kid, I remember being terrible at it so I was constantly starting new games. But man it’s so nostalgic

GameCube collector here! Actually I’ve been collecting video games my entire life but I never got to own a GameCube as a child so I just started my collection. I’m going CIB full North America. Since I started 3 weeks ago I have found 16 cib in excellent condition games that has set me back roughly $1, 400 thus far.

GameCube was actually my first console I owned when I was 5.

I still lovingly have my Pokemon Colloseum and XD Gale of Darkness on my collectors shelf. I'll never sell off my old Gamecube collection. Especially knowing a lot of the games are ones that collectors want now.

I LOVED StarFox Adventures when I was younger and I still think its an awesome game. Still have my original copy, GameCube, and memory card. Would LOVE to see you do a review on it.
