Real Reason: These Peoples are the one who are not get into an IIT. So they land in Private Colleges. They First choice is always an IIT or NIT. Then only they consider Top Private.

For Placements, all VIT campuses get same priority. Exposure wise VIT Vellore is better than Chennai Campus, and they do promote lot of Extra curricular activities (But to join coaching, you need to pay fees). Academics wise its good if you pick the best faculties. The best part is more than 80% faculties are friendly and approachable, and if you work with them in projects and research papers, you can improve your profile significantly and stand out of the crowd during the placement process. The only limitation which I see is Fees (Very High).

Getting into vit cse is very difficult especially for vellore & chennai. You must have more than 95% in mains then only you can get 2 lalkhs tution fee category.

Placements: Vit is king in india. Salaries upto 40lpa. If you have 9 cgpa above vit vellore or Chennai then you will be placed in 20 lpa above packages
