That's not hard at all - you can tell by looking at it the answer is 5/3. Here's how:

8^x = 32
(2^3)^x = 2^5
(2^x)^3 = 2^5
2^x = 2^(5/3)
x = 5/3

No logs actually required - you only need the rules of exponent arithmetic.
