I own multiple UA pedals and there's no denying they all sound phenomenal, including the Orion, I just feel that in today's world, not implementing MIDI, Stereo capability (True or TRS), Preset options, you're missing a market. I use UA stuff for studio use sometimes, but for live playing, I can't justify using them. Sounds beautiful, I just hope that in the future, it could be an option, because I would gladly replace some pedals on my board that currently utilitze MIDI, stereo, etc.

I feel like this is much more true to the spirit of the EP-3 without all the extra stuff found on most new delays. You can find dozens of excellent pedals that have tap tempo and MIDI and expression pedal jacks and I wouldn’t be interested in those. After being in the presence of shiny new Echoplexes in the 70s, this one feels right as is. ☮️☮️

With the delay effect de-activated and preamp always on (both Preamp and Trails switches on), is the Rec Level control active? In other words, can it increase the preamp level? Also, in this preamp only setting is there a colored light and do you all really notice its presence? I'm not noticing it much.

Just received this pedal and it is great! But I had a problem at first. I was trying the pedal through my board and several other pedals, without any noise coming from the UAFX Orion. My power supply is a t-rex fuel tank junior..

But after i didn't had any sound coming from the UAFX I switched the power supply with a Palmer Pwt 08, and first then the pedal worked..

So I'm confused and curious? Does the t-rex not have enough power to handle the UAFX, or what could be the problem?

I'm not interested in what a pedal "isn't". I'm looking at what it IS. There are a bazillion pedals out there in this Golden Age of pedal to buy, each with different qualities. Buy the ones you want. Don't buy the ones that don't fit your wants. No need to disparage pedal designers and companies for what they didn't do to please YOU. They're in something called BUSINESS.

releasing this with no OPTION for stereo, is walking a fine line between staying true to original equipment & holding out on potential customers, so they'll buy the more expensive unit that actually has stereo (which is ironic). there is no real reason to not put stereo, other than for business purposes. lots of people won't buy this, for that exact reason.
