The word of God transformed me now for 45 years in such a real way. Life saving transformation. Never got any fellowship or support at any church. Can't even find a good church now.

One good reason I have confidence is my love for the church and the brothers and sisters. There is nothing I would not give to help these people out. Once I was born again I found my true faimly was scattered across the country in every area when the Lord is loved by one redeemed sinner.

As an apostate, let me give a more realistic perspective, as someone who has spoken to many other former christian apostates.

It doesn’t matter how sincere your belief is. It doesn’t matter if you are alone, or go to every possible church event like small group, and every sermon. It doesn’t matter if you passively believe or dive into the gospel with your entire soul and mind.
It doesn’t matter if you have something devastating happen to you, or if you have the safest worry free christian life.

Apostasy happens for 1 reason and 1 reason alone. You no longer find it convincing. That’s it.

I went down that path, and am so glad I did; as well as others I knew and walked alongside in the church.

I only ask 1 question to the Christian’s in the comment section. Are you able to fulfill your duty under 1 Peter 3:15, to give a reason for the faith and hope you have?

That verse led me to deconvert, because I saw no good reasons beyond simple indoctrination, and logical fallacies. If you think your faith is on solid ground, it should be able to stand the rest of 1 Peter 3:15. Find that reason. Be ready to share it.

As wonderfully helpful as the Church is, it can not save nor can it keep you from falling away. It is your own personal walk with the Lord, abiding in the vine Jesus Christ. John 15, that keeps you. The Apostle Paul said everyone left me but Jesus stood by my side and strengthened me. King David, when his men were going to kill him because the enemies took all their wives and children, strengthened himself in the Lord. Lift up, exalt Jesus, not the church

So do you have the ability to choose not to stay in Christian community or does God ordain for you to do that?

Unfortunately the "packs" inside of the church walls are not of sheep but wolves. (Exceptions exist of course.)

It's written not all will make it. God already knows who will make it and will not from the beginning of creation. simple as that really

People fall when you don’t use the law to bring them to the cross. You have to convince of the need then it makes sense

This is a Theonomist/Calvinist channel. The god of Calvinism is NOT the God of the Bible that "so loved the world that He gave His Only Begotten Son..."

this is how a cult sounds somehow like... have faith, only faith and nothing but faith and dont think, dont have doubts, dont see, dont listen just believe our one truth...

Once Belief always Belief?...Now I thought you didn't even believe in the "possibility of Apostasy"? ...and if Apostates aren't saints and saved in the first place ...what's the point of warning of them about falling away?...how can they even be "apostate" if they didn't believe in the first place ?

You know when one ponders it, it's truly a work and wonder, just how many pious, but "unsaved" hallelujah "sinner's prayer unbelievers" there are filling the pews of all the neoCalvinist /"once Saved always Saved" denominations...seems there remains a very strong contradiction, between actual objectively lived Church life and bold theological assertions....normally that sort of flagrant doctrinal dichotomy is a red flag one is in a Cult ...

On the other hand, it seems obvious and plain to me, it is in fact only a True Believer, who can ever experience the onset of "an evil heart of Unbelief and departing from the Living God"(Hebrews 3:12)...as the unbeliever already has a heart of unbelief...and is nowhere near God to depart from...

After listening to this I must be elected to be apostate because I had sought to join myself in fellowship with a few churches where I had relationships with Christians in the past. These people do not even want me around them and have cast me off like a leper. I am totally alone with no friends, which they have proven they were never my friends to begin with. So I guess I'm apostate by abandonment and now heading for hell. Im only left with a broken heart where the void is replaced by bitterness.

For a Calvinist, isn't the main reason--the only reason--people go apostate is because God chooses them for apostasy?

Preacher be fired up about this one! And for good reason, lest any should perish.

two reasons I do the Christian life myself: 1) Progressive Churches went too woke and inclusive. 2) I honestly can't remember the last time a church ministry really moved me as much as when I read the Bible on my own. Lastly, people in general ... I want to stay away from people. No good person left in this world.

This inconsistent theology will inevitably cause people to apostate. This is why Calvinism fails.
