Upgrade, do you think this would function and boost a Verizon cell signal from inside a (new home type) wiring closet? The closet is not located near a window. For that, I may be able to use a Cat 6 outlet close to a window. I currently receive 1 bar or 2 bars on the phone.

I think people are being a little over dramatic. I was not a fan of the music, but I could hear you just fine. I think your message could have been distilled a little better. You seemed to have a hard time getting your thoughts across. I think the important point that you made was that this does connect to your local network AND you still get charged for mobile data. This might propagate better than a wireless signal, but I personally would try to get my users/clients to use wifi calling as an option first. Keep it up man! Kudos.

As others have said, the music is a distraction. And don't say I'm' being too picky, this IS a review and my opinion. Overall the review is accurate. The device is plug and play. If you have a marginal signal where you can't hear callers or they complain that you fade in and out, this is the device to have. He mentioned something about a SIMM card in prior versions. No SIMM card concern with this version. I plugged it into my router, plugged it in the wall and a few minutes later my phone suddently shifted to full signal. Even though I have a top quality router and WIFI calling was turned on, I never experienced the TRUE HD audio I have now with this device. It's like having a land line again! Pricey, yes, but the darn thing works! Mounted on the second story, in the center of the house, my entire home has a full, solid signal now. It also covers most of the yard, but not the street or adjacent homes. Interestingly my 4G data is also faster now. 40 to 50 MBPS, and I would assume that higher rate of data is now flowing through my router. So could your neighbor's 4G data go through your router if they were in range of your extender or could they use your extender. I wondered... The answer is NO. You have to FIRST have your phone connected to your home's WIFI BEFORE it will connect with the extender. That prevents your neighbor from connecting. Seems like a very safe device. He was also correct about your phone's radiation. It will be much lower at your head and battery use will be less because of your extender. If you're concerned about radiation, keep in mind that your router operates at 2.4Ghz. or the higher 5 Ghz if you have a 5g router. My extender was only running at 700 Mhz, which I believe is safer than the higher frequency router you have! All in all, it's an outstanding device.
