Would it be possible in your reviews to take a shot at the shortest draw length? That would give us T-Rex guys an idea the efficiency at short draw. I think we all know the approximation of 10fps per inch but actual numbers would be nice to see. I also see that this would only really be possible on the rotating cam bows not the module or cam specific.

Really glad to see Darton taking their engineering and putting it into a bow rather than it being on all these other bows. Love the honest bow reviews Josh! Really enjoying your channel!

We 60# people really don't care about IBO speed. Just the speed it shoots at different weight arrows. Love to see reviews of 60#'s. I respect your opinions and don't jump on manufacturer bandwagons just what works for me. Thanks for what you do.

If you can get an APA Black Mamba Pro it would be great to see a review on it. For the past few years the major bow companies have been putting out the same bow with small changes but this year is gona be awesome. From what I've seen most of the manufacturers have made big changes to their new lineup. Especially PSE, that new shim system is fantastic. But the APA Black Mamba Pro is definitely different and revolutionary in the compound bow world. You really need to check it out.

I’d been using a poor man’s Bear Threat, and recently upgraded to a Mathews Phase 4 33. I have learned a great deal from this channel. Especially the confidence to do my own maintenance. I appreciated your candor, confidence, knowledge and experience.

I really like your videos & reviews, including this one. But once you started grading the bow at 10:36, it seemed little subjective or perhaps biased. :) I will comment on that and go in chronological order: Tunability, grade 3: A grade 3 /5 for a bow with 1/4" draw length increments? Plus shims, plus yokes. I wonder what exactly is 'tunability' for you, and what does a bow need to provide for a grade 5 on this; Features, grade 3: what features are you looking for? Gimmicks like bipods or the "sensors" integrated into the handgrip, that another brand has? :) Who needs that? How like a material with 80% higher tensile strength (yes, eighty percent higher) than the standard aluminum alloy used by most of the manufactureres, i.e. the 7071 alloy, that is, in fact, the case here, i.e that Darton is using? How is that for a 'feature'? If you ask me - that's the feature I like to see and that I care about. The cams are machined from the same material, and they are not designed slimmed way down (like for example PSE's) so these bows are set to both perform AND last a looong time of use and abuse. Add the overall reputation on machining, tolerances, and their laminated limbs reputation. It depends what you call 'features' but the ones I mentioned here are the features personally I like to see, i.e. quality and a value for money. Ballance, grade 4: you say it ballances really well but you give them a 4? Back wall, grade 4: you say "it does cycle and hit real clean and real good", but grade them with 4...? For me, I dont think the hardest the wall the better it is - necessarily. For me personally, cable stoppers are a plus and some very small and elastic give (by cable stoppers) as you expand to activate the release is welcome for propper release execution. I allways remove limb stoppers for bows that have them. Grip, grade 4: you phrase it but give 4? For me personally, the narrower the better, like, ,OK Archery's" or some other brands but Darton seems OK; Draw cycle, grade 4: This is very subjective property to evaluate, but OK; Physicall weight 4: they may be slightly on the heavier side, but I wonder if some of these on the lower side bows with a lot of machined cut outs will stand the test of time; ...etc. Price point MSRP 1149 USD: "They are not the biggest name in the industry?" Is this a joke? The company is around for 50yrs, it was run by a mech. engineer who knows the substance, they patented binary cams, to say the least... Their quality of design and engineering is right up there. Their crossbows never fail, they have a pattented trigger housing unit which never failed....I have their crossbow Viper Xtreme SS from 2013 and it is pounding like it was made yesterday! Look on forums for all the issues and new (fancy and pricey) xbows falling appart after short use... They do not need the hype to prove themselves. So the grade you give them for the price is 4: If you dont mind me asking, I only wonder: How many bows in that price point offer: A) 7071 alloy riser, B) 7071 alloy cams, C) Darton reputation for performance and product integrity? I believe that should be taken into consideration when grading this. When measuring vibrations, perhaps not only the maxima but the average (integral over time) should be evaluated. Same goes for the noise that could be measured by a microphone and a noise acqusition system. The bow seemed pretty silent, juding only from the video above, the arrow speed it delivers and the fact it had no stabilisers. Not many companies can give the reputation, honesty and integrity, and the value for money as Darton. In a way, they are similar to Toyota in the car world or what Vollkswagen used to be. Just my 2c. Thanks!

THANK YOU THANK YOU
Saw your 2 yo video on prpoer grip
I am an idiot and have been casting magic spells for a year!
You said pull the hand up and back and there is so much more stability. I’ve been balancing in the crotch of my thumb and have bounced everywhere but now I pull back with the heel of my hand and am hitting dimes at 30yrs
It just feels weird with the modern skinny grips…I’m old…er
Thank u so much….in GA

This is the first offering from Darton in many years that has got my interest. Definitely will be trying one of them out.

Thanks for a consistent review platform. You asked, so...the speed tests are (probably) not using the same chronometer as the manufacturer and they have a small sweet spot, so those speed tests aren't likely to be accurate in comparison - BUT the comparison bow to bow is super helpful anyway. Thanks again for all your work
