These were from our May 2023 cruise aboard the Norwegian Encore which sailed from Seattle to Alaska. On the Encore, like most NCL ships, the buffet restaurant is called Garden Café.

We were on the Encore in April for the Panama Canal Cruise. Buffet was very good and the staff outstanding. They offered a different special each night. I/we recommend claiming a table before you enter the buffet line to get your food. (note: They do not have iced tea available for self serve during breakfast. You need to ask one of the staff for it.

We just got off the Encore and had a great time! The favorite for most of us was the Indian food - the butter chicken is super yummy and great nan bread. I had a great noodle bowl in tom yum broth and the best Thai fish filets. It’s definitely super crowded. The omelet bar is a great option in the morning. Desserts are generally mediocre though at the buffet - but there is alot of ice cream choices and yummy soft serve. The best desserts are in the sit down dining rooms and specialty restaurants.

You said at 16:57 that the alcoholic drinks were included in the dining package - I thought they were only included in the separate drinks package and the dining package only had basic tea, coffee, etc.?

I had to pause this to go make a box of Ghirardelli brownies 1/2 way thru this 1/2 mile buffet haha. I might have tried the Tortilla Soup and mexican food options or a fancy sauce pasta w/ one a unique bread to dip. Ice Sculpture means a quick one woman show dance party 😂 So funny at a Huge buffet, Huge Chris chose... baby sized ice cream 🤣Unbelievable amount of good looking food options on your NCL!

Hi, I just found your website or vlog I am doing some digging for some information on the NCL encore in the Haven. I have done the Haven on the Bliss and you were right the Haven I’ve never been able to afford the owner suite if you can get, I don’t know maybe three couples and go in and split it that would be affordable, but the only thing that you keep saying is you keep calling it a boat and people get really really really upset when you call a cruise ship a boat I have been corrected many time, because when I first started cruising and I called it a boot, and I have been put in my place and when you really think about it, it’s kind of insulting to call that monster us ship a boat but I just thought I would just let you know that you’ll probably have a lot of people that will correct you because it’s surprising how people get upset over something so it doesn’t matter or does to some people I guess but there’s bigger fish to fry in my opinion, but I have learned now not to call A Ship a boat. I love your videos. You have done an awesome job.
