Santana was the only one who didn't allow Rachel to live in fantasyland. You can't protect someone from reality. Kurt was a good friend to want to protect her but Santana was a good friend because she knew Rachel wouldn't have let Brody go without the truth. That was one of the main issues with Santana and Rachel. Rachel would have been perfectly happy living in her dreamland where nothing went wrong for her and she didn't have to face reality. Santana was all about reality in a really blunt way. If she didn't care about Rachel she would have let her stew in dream land and not move on.

"No peeking." Kurt says to them as they both laugh. "And...."
He runs in front of them as they remove the blindfolds from their eyes.
Santana says, "oh, my God! Kurt, you gave my boyfriend pillow a sex change! That's so sweet."
Kurt says, "little perfume, and..voila!"
Santana tells Kurt, "if you ever tell anyone about this, i have no ethical problems with Hummelcide."
As she walks away, Kurt and Rachel look at each other.
Then Kurt sits beside her and says, "you don't seem as excited about yours."
"This is weird." Rachel tells him. "And I'm not lonely, okay? I don’t need anything to cuddle with.
Just because Brody moved out, doesn't mean that we're not gonna get back together."
Santana chimes in and says, "okay, no."
"What?" Rachel says.
Santana says, "I'm sorry, it is over, and it's gonna stay over.
I was wrong about Brody being a drug dealer, but I was just wrong about what he was selling.

Kurt looks at Rachel, although he couldn't say anything.

Kurt tries to speak, but Rachel gets up and leaves.
"You're welcome." Santana says after Rachel leaves.
Kurt asks her, "why did you have to do that?"
"It was for her own good." Santana tells him.
Kurt puts his hand on his face and shakes his head.
