Thank you great video, for the same example, how do you find the probability of extinction at exactly the 10th generation?

In the last bit, it would be nice if you could tell me ( i get what you mean kinda) what exactly you mean with the RV "X". So clearly pk = P(X=k) but, what is this X referring to. "The number of offpspring of each member" Because we say X_n is the actual process which refers to the total number of members at time n.

But great video, im getting through :p

edit: sorry, just read up on book. its just X_0 ofcourse as it is X_0's PGF! So it means with how many members we START the process?
