I listen to this perfectly conducted and played Rienzi's Ouverture through the years again and again. And I always get goose pimples from it. And I love how sensitive and gentle Klaus Tennstedt conduct it!! Thank you!! And thank to the entire LPO for translating Tennstedt's guiding moves into a celestial sound which makes you feel how subtle and romantic could be Wagner .

What better person than Herr Tennstedt as a German to so understand Wagner's music snd bring out his wonderful understanding of this Great Masters music and also that he really by adding his complete understanding of Wagner's music . The LPO are musicians extraordinaire ! Wagner's music is Music and had nothing to do with his political outlook ! Recognize his music as GREAT Music. Also let us not forget the loss of Herr Tennstedt while he had come into his prime
