you know what. I AM DONE! All of you need to actually listen to the band, every song, every album, watch every music video before you judge them. New Years Day is amazingly talented, and they sound nothing, NOTHING, like paramore. They aren't metal either. Yes, this song is more on the pop punk side, but there new stuff is heavier and way more mature. This song was only on their first EP, and they had one album before this one. Even Ashley said they didn't know what they were doing back then. Now they have 5 albums out. They are a lot more mature then they were back when they made his music video. They even just finished touring with Marilyn Manson. So why don't all you guys calling this crap just shut the hell up and actually give female fronted bands a chance. Also I've seen some pretty sexist things in the comments that I think is very unacceptable. Instead of leaving hate comments on a bands music video, why don't you just face the fact that these people are way more popular and way more talented than you'll ever be :) give me all the bullshit you want, I could really care less about what you have to say to me, I would rather have you hate on me than on this AMAZING band. I bet most of you, if not all of you would even have the guts to say that bullshit to the bands face. People now are literally trash XDDD

the irony is that people are hating this band as being the "untalentless paramore" and scorns Century Media for it
even though New Year's Day changed their style 3 years later from this to more dark and gothic and now everybody appreciates it and still is part of Century Media

In my opinion, this was NYD at their peak. The Mechanical Heart and even Victim to Villain were such a unique cross between hard rock and pop punk. Their newer music seems so average to me, so similar to the rest of their scene. I'm not really trying to bash Malevolence (because it isn't a BAD album), but I think some of the older members like Anthony, Russell, Dan, and Mikey need more credit. Ash is an incredible singer, but the band's sound clearly changes a ton depending on all of the other members.
Also, I hate how their gothy vibe is being so amped up in their newer music, because it is so much less dark and spooky than their older stuff.

Of course people would be dissing this band before not even knowing the band. If you people knew the band members, your perception of this band would COMPLETELY change. I have a TON of RESPECT for this band. Not even kidding. They are all around amazing people. Before, I heard I Was Right by NYD and thought they were alright. Never got into them much until I got to know the people in the band. The people can change your perspective completely.
