Unseasonal weather has hit another French harvest and the forecast for global wine output is at an all-time low. Climate change may benefit cooler regions, but for vineyards across much of the old and new world global warming is seen a dire threat to a $327bn industry.

That migration of wine growing areas is also affecting Australia. There are now large wineries in the state of Tasmania which has a climate similar to northern England or the Netherlands. It used to be considered too cool for grapes to ripen properly, but there are now a lot of wineries down there.
