The five best ways to get a yield on ETH

Minor correction: The Saddle rewards do not stack. You either get ALCX rewards or SDL rewards, not both. It depends where you stake.

In this video, I go over five interesting and profitable ways to get a yield on ETH. I also cover my theory (and share the math) on why it’s better to farm with ETH directly as opposed to borrowing stablecoins.

Great video! Wouldn't mind a video like this every 3-6 months as the market changes so fast. Thanks so much for making your content!

Great video. Top btc, eth, and stablecoin yields are such good vids to release periodically

Can you do a similar video for ETH on L2s and Polygon?

Great video. Would love to see a similar one for all the L2 options.

Thanks a lot Justin. Your video was so good it ended confusing me more lol one question about the yearn option you posted some months ago that combines yearn with curve. Is it no longer available? So from a strictly mathematical simple eth staking perspective element offers the best numbers now? Thanks once again :)

Good outline! Why did you not include Rocket Pool or Lido?

One small note… the 3% borrowing rate is to be paid only on the 40% borrowed… as to say 1.2%. Not changing a lot but just for…

Thank your for another thoughtful and informative video! If only I could stake enough ETH to justify the gas fees!

amazing video, i am always looking for updates and sometimes even crossing backwards, you lay out all option so i can take the position fits to what i was to achieve.

just a note, when you borrow against your Eth stacked collateral, it gives you the option to " buy the dip ", so you can borrow 50% against your Eth, stack the stable coine to getting yield 30% on that, there are three options:
1. Price goes down, you unstake stable, but more eth, add to collateral to avoid liquidation .
2. Price goes up, you just repay and got free cash for your eth .
3. price stay the same, you keep yield from staked eth and borrowed stable coin .

it gives flexibility on increase your position.
what do you think ?

Like your videos but the high gas fees on Ethereum should really be included in your calculations especially as it impacts the ROI. Eth is just not usable for small users.

You can get over 10% on binance. Simply swap eth for BETH at best possible rate. You will receive around 5% just for holding BETH on the exchange. But the true APY comes from the redemption of BETH back to ETH once beacon chain merges. For example I bought a lot of BETH at 0.93ETH each last month and in 6 months I will sell it at 1ETH each, meaning around 14%APY just from that trade

None of your options are low risk given multiple platforms and platform tokens. I would still go for stake -> borrow against staked and put it in a stable coin pool.

Thanks Justin, super useful as always, whats your view on bridging ETH to another chain such as Arbitrum, fantom etc and using a wrapped version to stake/farm?

Thanks for the vid. Are there solutions that don’t trigger capital gains on your ETH?

Hi Justin. Nice video. Didnt understand with Saddle how you actually deposit your Eth. Do you just have to convert your Eth to alETH, hold alETH in your Metamask and then deposit. Is that it?
