When you write the soundtrack to your own biography 193+ years later.

The guy playing Salieri is so excellent on that film. Rarely seen such a talented actor, he could play Dracula! :D

This scene was absolutely gripping. I watched this great film 5 consecutive days at the Hinsdale theater and was mesmerized every time I saw it.

Quite possibly the saddest, most heart-wrenching piece of music ever written.

This is such a sad and terrible ending. Being buried in a « fosse commune » is so dehumanizing, not only for Mozart, but for absolutely every single human beings. 😭 I even bury my lovebirds in proper wood « coffins » with their names and dates of birth/death written on the coffins. No one should be forgotten and leave to rot in a hole... 🥀 I wonder why, even in those days, cities didn’t allow a budget to have everybody properly buried. Nothing fancy, just a proper resting place...

Leave an open barrel of quicklime in the rain like that and the barrel will catch on fire.

This was the last piece of music that Mozart ever heard. His friends arranged this to be played for him while he was dying. Mozart cried when he heard his Lacrimosa from his Requiem performed. This is documented as truth. The film is amazing but not real events. RIP Mozart 'the master'.

Death has a way of settling the score so Salieri didn't kill Mozart, Mozart Killed himself and was a heavy drinker. So in a way no parties won. Mozart dies and Salieri tortured till his death!

So basically his talent killed him and so did the drinking and that part always stayed with me when they dumped his body into the grave and poured flour on it and they just left him in there! Salieri I have to side with because he hated Mozart and Mozart had so much talent and Saleri was furious when Mozart humliated him in front of the emperor. I can't blame him. I used to think Mozart was funny when I was smaller but then I realized as I got older he was an ass.
