this is definitely a frequency I'm sure I hear all the time, but it's so high pitched I probably think nothing of it most of the time. 18khz is a little more noticeable though

I can hear the tone clearly if I put the volume on max and hold the phone to my ear. Does that "count" or am I supposed to hear it from further away at regular volume?

18khz I hear fine, but not this one (although I'm a bit afraid to push the volume too high). I'm wondering if youtube compression doesn't cut off that sound.

But on laptop with max volume and ears close to speaker, I was able to hear that high pitch buzzing.

My 8-year-old can barely hear that. We were playing around to see what the limits are, and she's at 19000 HZ. My 6-year old tops out at around 15000 Hz. My 47-yr-old ears can't even hear 12000 Hz. :(
