3 Ways to EXPORT a STILL as IMAGE out of DaVinci Resolve

In this video you will learn about 3 ways to export a still as image out of DaVinci Resolve 17.

You can use this method to export a still as an image out of any animation in DaVinci Resolve.

The still or image you export, you can use it for your Youtube Video Thumbnail.

Notes:
The 1st way to grab a still is done from the fusion tab, by selecting the frame you want to export as a still or export as an image and the hitting the Save Image button.

The 2nd way is done from the color tab. You grab a still and then you can export it. You can export one or multiple stills or images out for the color tab.

The 3rd way is performed from the fusion tab using the saver node. This method allows exporting a very big number of images (each image represents a frame from your animation or composition).

I agree with others that this video is much better at showing how to save a batch of stills, than other videos on Davinci Resolve. But, regarding your third method, I can't understand what you're saying for several seconds, starting at 2:12. It sounds like you're saying, "Add a frontal note, add a save note ..." Would you share what you're saying in the first few seconds of the third method? Please. Thank you.

To make higher resolution you can right click on the screen showing your edit in fusion and choose save image.

Hey m8, I have done a freeze frame, however I want to mask the top quarter out so when I export it its just the top quarter that exports, everytime I try this it keeps exporting the full freeze frame image, how do I get round this?

I'm having problems with the third method, where you mass export the entire video in stills, I can't choose a folder because I don't have a still. Do I need to capture the first still of the video and set it to the folder?

Thanks, but the saver export is not allowed in the free version so I couldn't test. Seems a really silly way to export an image sequence. Who would think to do all this? In AE you just changed the export settings to JPG. Simple
