So, now not only the identity theft (AKA personal data theft) is a thing but a face theft and a voice theft might become a thing. You've presented a very interesting topic. And you're right, it's scary as well.
However, I was able to hear an unnatural lack of the emotional intonation (mainly the lack of pitch modulation) at the end of the first generated example speech. It sounded artificial. Or like the one who spoken these words was utterly bored and had an ironic approach to the speech he gave. ;)

Congress needs to pass laws and require the bigger tech companies like google, Facebook, Apple to label or say(if its a phone call) "this was generated by ai". So people know it isnt a real human their talking to.

Solution to the scammers? Come up with a secret password/code-word for friends and family that's abstract to verify if it's indeed the person or not. Maybe some inside joke would be best. Bottom line... freaky stuff here!
