The new IronMan 240 wire feed welder has more power and infinite voltage control to fine tune settings. It runs on 230V input power with 280A output that can weld up to 1/2 in. mild steel.

Super excited about this machine! I’ve owned a couple of Miller 251’s and this unit is a 252 without some features. I also run the Ironman 230 which has proven to be a workhorse that has never let my fab shop down. Hobart/Miller ITW, you guys need to give the crew that designed this machine a bonus cuz it’s going to sell like crazy! Transformer reliability, proven design, variable voltage, what more could you want!

Just ordered one yesterday. I received an email saying it would ship straight from Hobart but not for two weeks. The 240 is selling like crazy. I was looking at the Lincoln 260 power mig as well. The Lincoln was twice the cost then it went up two hundred dollars! I decided I didn’t need all the fancy crap. Two knob old school simplicity won me over...can’t wait.

Does anybody have experience welding stainless with this machine ?…I’m trying all the settings it I’m not happy with my results ..

Seems like they are out of stock everywhere! Did the plant shut down bc of the covid thing or they can't get parts from China?

Will this welder work good for sheet metal as well as an old miller 175?

Why don't you put a video out that shows the welder in real action. I have been thinking of buying one but the comments and complaints of the weird arc start function makes me not want to. I have owned a 140 for 20 years and am not going to spend 2k on a welder that doesn't work correctly. maybe explain in detail how it is supposed to make less spatter with a weaker arc start. it makes the 230 look like the better of the two.

If I didn't already have the 210MVP I would DEFINITELY go for this along with the spoolrunner.
