In an ancient Pagan village, a long long time ago,
31st of October, was drawing near, and everyone had to know.
The people were scared,
fearing for their lives,
And everyone tried to hide.

They thought that demons were coming,
Evil spirits and ghosts were humming,
"trick or treat, give us or we beat"
"don’t do what we say, then you’ll have to pay"

They shut their doors, left out some goodies, hoping the demons would take,
This was a day, at least they thought, their lives were at stake.

The people then called the witches to help,
Believing that they had power,
To save the whole village from the demons at night,
All within the hour.

This, Little muslims, is the truth of Halloween.
Should we really celebrate, now you know what it means?

These people denounced God,
Pledged allegiance to the devil.
As Muslims we love Allah,
This standard is never of our level!!

Giving is better than taking, my friend,
So why beg for candies when we can lend.

This is not us, and we don’t wanna be,
Like the demons and spirits the villagers see.

This is not us, and we don’t wanna be,
This is not my faith, and I’m proud to be me!

Why should we scare, or even pretend,
It’s mean, it’s rude, it doesn’t make sense.

Taking candies from strangers is never good,
You never know what they’re hiding under the hood.

So stay home, stay safe,
With your family, my friend.
Enjoy your day,
In a better way instead.
